The Invercargill City Council are currently investigating a three bin waste collection service for their area. Here is the link to their website with details of the proposal.

What does it mean for Otatara - it means we are included.  Currently Otatara residents are not rated for waste collection service and manage this through various means.   If the proposal goes ahead, Otatara residents will be rated for the three bin service whether they use it or not.

The Otatara Community Group has written to the ICC for more clarification and have asked a public meeting be held in Otatara for residents in the near future as the council will be making a decision soon.
